Custom CMS is built with its own admin area, so you can update your pages, images and posts without touching code, and there is no plugin stack to maintain or pay licences for. Its 691 products had no prices in the database, because prices lived in monthly Excel workbooks, and its checkout had never taken an order. On 5 October 2026 we moved it onto a custom Laravel platform. Prices now follow the account: guests see none, approved retail customers see retail, and approved trade customers see trade plus suggested retail. Staff upload each month’s price list in the admin, and the platform matches product codes and remembers every match. An enquiry list replaced the unused checkout, and 543 existing accounts moved across with their passwords.
iOrganic, from a slow WooCommerce store to a custom shop. iOrganic sells nuts, raw honey, dried fruit, biltong and droewors online. Its WooCommerce store carried a page builder and a stack of plugins that every page paid for. We rebuilt it as a custom Laravel store with live courier rates at checkout, card and SnapScan payments, moderated reviews and an admin built around how the owners work. Measured with PageSpeed Insights on the day it launched, it scored 93 on mobile and 96 on desktop for performance, with 0 ms of blocking time and no layout shift.
