White Label Web Design for Agencies: Websites Built Under Your Brand

If you run a marketing, branding or advertising agency and your clients keep asking for websites, you do not have to build an in-house development team to say yes. JWD builds websites for agencies under the agency’s own brand. You keep the client relationship; we do the design and build work behind the scenes.

We are open to white label work from agencies in South Africa and abroad. Every arrangement is agreed with you per project, so this page explains what we build and how we work, rather than a fixed white label price list.

What We Build for Agencies

The same three kinds of website we build for our own clients:

  • Custom static websites: hand-built, very fast and low-maintenance, with no admin area. Good for brochure sites whose content rarely changes.
  • WordPress websites: a familiar editor your client can use, with the theme and plugins agreed before we start.
  • Custom CMS websites: built from the ground up with their own admin area and no plugin stack, including online stores.

Our guide to static website vs WordPress vs custom CMS explains the trade-offs, and our published website packages show what each one includes and costs when we sell directly. For white label projects, the scope and price are agreed with you before any work starts.

How a White Label Project Works

  1. You brief us. Send the client’s requirements, brand assets and content, or bring us in on the brief. We work from what you supply.
  2. We quote you. You receive the scope and price, and you set your own price to your client.
  3. We design and build. You review each stage on a private preview link and pass feedback on to us, or bring us into the conversation if you prefer.
  4. You hand it over. The site goes live under your agency’s name. Once the project is paid in full, the final design and the content created for it transfer as our terms set out, and the underlying tools and code libraries are licensed for use in that site.

We can also host the site and handle maintenance afterwards, at our published hosting and maintenance rates, if that suits you and your client.

Why Agencies Work With a South African Team

  • Proof you can check. Our portfolio shows real, live client sites, each with a case study, including work for clients in the United States, Australia, Namibia and Botswana.
  • Clear communication. We aim to reply to enquiries fast during office hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:00 and Friday 08:00 to 16:00, South African time. How long a build takes depends on its size, and we confirm it once we know the scope.
  • Straightforward payment. We invoice in South African rand and accept PayPal, EFT (bank transfer) and card payments through Yoco. For agencies outside South Africa, quotes include a 15% international allowance that covers cross-border payment, currency conversion and bank fees, and we agree the rand amount and the exchange rate up front. Our guide to web design costs for overseas clients explains how that works.

Working Hours Across Time Zones

South Africa runs on SAST (UTC+2) all year, with no daylight saving. This is how our office hours line up with a 09:00 to 17:00 working day elsewhere, with each place on the clock it uses at the time of writing (late September):

Where your agency isTime differenceShared working hours (Monday to Thursday)
United Kingdom (BST)South Africa is 1 hour aheadAbout 7 hours
Central Europe (CEST)Same timeAbout 8 hours
United States East Coast (EDT)South Africa is 6 hours aheadAbout 2 hours
United States West Coast (PDT)South Africa is 9 hours aheadNone
Sydney (AEST)South Africa is 8 hours behindAbout 1 hour

The differences shift by an hour when those places change their clocks: for example, from October Sydney moves to daylight saving time and the overlap with Sydney disappears, and from November the overlap with the United States East Coast drops to about 1 hour. Our guide to working with a remote web design team across time zones covers how we handle projects with little or no overlap.
